While working at EMA Architecture, we were asked to design a boathouse for a group of users on the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon. Through the design process we kept discovering new obstacles, some were out of our control while others we tried to find ways to work past. In an effort to combat these and show our intent, we decided to create an animation. The animation was as much to show how the building interacts with its surrounding as the building itself.
